SanDisk Sansa Fuze (4GB)

leave a comment »

I am not a fan of Apple iPod. I used to be until I started using Sandisk Sansa MP3 Player. I found out that it delivered all I want in a portable music player. Currently, I am using the 8GB Sandisk Sansa e280.

The Sandisk Sansa Fuze, at 2.0 inches wide by 3.1 inches tall by 0.3 inches deep, it fits nicely in your hand. The illuminated jog wheel is a nice touch on this good-looking player, too.

The robust feature list includes support for subscription services such as eMusic, Napster, and Rhapsody To Go. You can display video and images on its 1.9-inch screen. The player also has an FM tuner (with 40 presets), a voice recorder, and microSD expandability.

Read review here.

The 4GB costs $100 and is also available in 2GB and 8GB versions, for $80 and $130, respectively.

Porta-Pack Wired Backpack: Webcam On The Prowl

This is not an ordinary backpack, but a combo of MP3 player and a web camera. This means while listening to your digital music as you move about, you can also become an amateur movie producer by capturing the scenes around you (surreptitiously?).

Coming complete with a wireless 2.5GB hard drive, USB Hub, a tiny LCD screen with 4 button navigation and input, and 1 GB of flash memory, the PORTA2030 performs what its creators call “portable data sensing-storage-transmission” as it not only captures video streams in real time but also plays MP3s for its user to enjoy.

It’s a nice gadget for field workers or security personnel who need to monitor in real life what’s happening to other members of the team. Each Porta2030 is assigned a unique IP address for wireless transmission to a central hub.

Digital Photo Watch

leave a comment »

This wrist watch, apart from telling you the time, also acts as a digital photo album. You can either view the photos in slideshow or one by one.

It has the capacity to hold 60 pictures. It has a USB connection for charging the watch and for transferring photos. This is great if you want to keep those special photos always with you. Don’t tell me that your camera phone can perform better. Yeah, I know it.

If you are interested in this Digital Photo Watch, you can place your order here It costs just about $100.
